Visting My Father for the First Time Since He Went Off

Would it Be All About Drama, A Week and a Half Later?
11
I wondered how my first visit with my father would go since my uncle came to town. I was a bit nervous about things today.

Good afternoon, Everyone.

Well, it’s been a day. I hadn’t seen my father for almost a week and a half. He went off on my mother and me the last time we visited. He told her he hated her and got loud and abusive. I didn’t handle it well.

So today, we visited him again.

It was a full day of running my mother to her eye appointment, taking care of a few errands, and then having lunch together, which was nice. Then came the visit to my father at his care center. I talk about how that went in today’s podcast episode.

It’s nice to share with you all and discuss the range of emotions that come with caring for a terminally ill relative. It can be a lot, but sometimes, there are good aspects of the experience as well. Thank you for lending me your ears and being here for it.

It means more than you know. ❤️
