We Tried to Keep Politics Out of Our Family Reunion

But That Proved to Be Impossible
9
My daughter’s birthday celebration and a mini-family reunion went down last night. But were politics involved?

I hadn’t seen my uncle in 35 years before last night.

That’s far too long. I haven’t visited Los Angeles as an adult. Uncle T hadn’t made his way up to Idaho, either. We finally fixed that yesterday.

He came to visit his brother, my father, who’s having pretty serious health issues. This may be the last time they see each other. I hope not, but I try to be realistic about things.

Sort of like hoping we wouldn’t bring up politics, yet we did. I talk about that and other things in today’s episode of The Renegade Writer’s Mouthy Musings. It can be a challenge to focus on things other than Donald Douchelord and his shitty administation. Such as a 21st birthday celebration.

But we did a pretty good job. You’ll see. Give this one a listen, I’d sure appreciate it. Thank you for lending me your ears, it’s always appreciated!
