I am crazy about Pete, voted for him in the primary. Why oh why can’t people wake up and vote for intelligence and good character, rather than being taken in by a slick con job?!
I'm a huge fan of Mayor (Secretary) Pete and have been following his career since he ran for POTUS. I love his sense of integrity and fairness, as well as his political savvy. He would be a great President.
There’s something quietly revolutionary about watching two people—openly, lovingly—navigate power, parenting, and public service without sacrificing who they are. Pete and Chasten aren’t just rewriting the American political narrative; they’re re-enchanting it with decency, intellect, and actual joy. This article didn’t just tell a story—it reminded me that hope doesn’t always wear a cape. Sometimes it wears a diaper bag and corrects your pronunciation of “Gramsci.” Well done, Kenyon. Subscribed.
Pete is my top choice for President. I’ve cited other potential candidates but always I come back to him. He’s got it all. I was a subscriber to Chasten’s FB page and he was as the article described; warm, knowledgeable, friendly and TOUGH! (teaching middle schoolers is NOT for the faint of heart; every day is a new crisis). It’s the 21st century American dream. And the best part; when you come to battle wits AND religion with Pete you’d better be armed.
Thank you for sharing aboy Pete and Chasten. They are what America needs! True family values! And an openess and love for what great life looks like or should be. I love Star Trek too for the diplomancy and lack of politics for personal gain but one for universal peace and commaraderie. Yes, education and the arts matter; encourage discernment rather than censorship of book and other issues. Let’s promote a thinking and productive world! Let’s start here in the USA!🥰

Outstanding article! Loved it, thank you so much. I've always adored Mayor Pete, he's brilliant....Chasten sounds like a most compassionate person. A great couple indeed ☺️. The kids are so sweet too.....it's good to know the backgrounds of our politicians and public speakers etc. It humanizes them and makes them more approachable. Thanks again 🙏💙

I learned from the article that Mayor Pete is a Star Trek fan. That solidifies my high opinion of him, says the woman whose 13 out of 14 four-legged kids have Star Trek names 🤓
Sorry to say, aside from word games, I haven't play any online or board games. I remember playing Zork way back when. In case you've never heard of it: it was a text only computer game. You wandered around a maze, encountered objects to help you find your way to the treasure and defend yourself. You basically had to draw a map as you went along so you wouldn't get lost. I loved it. It was addictive🤓
I only have six kids right now: 3 dogs, 3 cats. I didn’t change the name of the first dog I adopted on my own. She was already so traumatized and her new situation was going to be a big change. Besides, I liked her name, Misha.
The names of my kids who live in my heart:
Misha, Tuvok, Data, Quinn, Kamin, and Kahless (the dogs)
Nelix and Dax (the cats)
Those that are still with me and hopefully will be for a long time:
Guinan, Riker, and Raffi (the dogs)
Tribble, Vash, and Jadzia (the cats)
I never had any two-legged kids by choice, so my four-legged are my children.
Sorry for rambling on, but once I start talking about my kids I can’t stop 🤓
I love hearing about another cat lover! I have had as many as 40 (too many!) but now just 11. I am both a Star Trek and a Star Wars fan, and currently share my home with Jedi, Yoda, Leia, and Sulu.
I do live out in the country on 8 acres and have outbuildings, so many of my cats are/were strays who decided they preferred a nice warm house, at least in the winter. All neutered, vaccinated, got along relatively well!
It is so wonderful of you to take in the strays! I try to get to off-leash dog parks every day (haven't been making it lately). The park I'm currently going to may not even be 8 acres! My dogs would love to live with you🤓
I live in a St. Paul suburb with a small fenced yard. My cats are indoors; I can't let my dogs stay out long because barking dogs can get you a police visit☹️
Guinan is my female who was found on the street. I adopted her from animal control. Four days later I found out she was pregnant. I promised myself I wasn't going to name the 4 dogs in her litter because I already had 3, counting mama, and I didn't want to get attached. There were two dogs who looked almost identical, the 1st and 4th born. I kept calling the first born #1. So naturally I had to name him Riker. That blew a huge hole in my plan to not keep any of the pups😵💫 I named the 2nd Crusher, for Beverly; she was by far the tiniest so I thought the name fit perfectly🤓 I named the 3rd Worf; he was HUGE. I named the 4th Picard. Riker stayed with me.
Guinan is a lovable brat. She got through the fence at the parks 9-10 times☹️ The last 3 times she had a bumper collar on. She is one determined pup. I guess that explains why she was found on the street🤔
Sorry for going on so long. When I start talking about my kids, I can't stop🤓
Love this ! Back in the day I had 14 domesticated feral cats, it was pure heaven....I loved having that many cats. I had 2 dogs as well and an adopted abandoned baby Robin ☺️. Nothing like sitting in a room filled with 14 purring cats 💕🐾.....thanks for sharing 🙏
I went to see Mayor Pete when he was campaigning in MN in 2020. It was very obvious that he was brilliant and cool under fire. That was the second campaign rally I had attended. The first was in 1960 when JFK came to my podunk town in northeastern Pennsylvania. I was 9 years old so I hadn’t much of a clue as to what he was talking about. But the electricity of the crowd made the event so memorable. (Also the fact that I was picked up and put on a picnic table so I wouldn’t get trampled by the crowd 🤓)
He could be a very interesting candidate to be sure, and i rather hope to see the first LGBTQ+ president in my lifetime. Assuming of course, we make it that far. I want to hope we will, but the chaos that surrounds us now makes it difficult to do so.
I loved Pete from the beginning. Yet, the more I’ve gotten to know of him, the more I truly feel he would be best at leading this country. More harrahs for Pete!
This brave and loving family is in my prayers, and hopes for the nation’s future.

After researching for this article, i have to say I am definitely a fan.

He is definitely currently the FrontRunner for me!
The more I learn about this man, the more I like! The same can be said about his absolutely adorable and beautiful husband.

I was sold by the fact that he plays settlers of catan! One of my most favorite board games ever!

No way! I'm jealous that you have 14 of them! And how did the one NOT get one? &:^)

I can't imagine having 11 cats, let alone 40😱 Do you live opn a farm?
I love your cats' names, especially Sulu🤓

You need a baby goat🤓 I love watching videos of them running, jumping, and climbing😊
I love them too, they're so precious....I watch the baby goat videos too ☺️

Thats awesome!
I love that you have those memories!
I hope to hear him speak eventually, in person.

Yeah, I agree. With everything currently going on, it does seem hard to stay positive.
Never lose hope though. 🙏

As I was writing this I could not help but be constantly impressed by him.
I couldn't agree more. We need someone like him running the show. What an upgrade it would be from The Count of Mostly Crisco.
“The count of mostly crisco”. Lmao!
This is why you make the big bucks. 🤣😂🤣😂
