I Won't Let Trump Turn Me Into an Asshole

I Refuse to Allow My Mental Health to Suffer Because of Things I Can't Control
30
Go fuck yourself, Foolius Sleazer. You don’t get to change me for the worse.

What’s up, Y’all?

The downer for today is that I couldn’t make it to Yellowstone. My lower back is pretty bad. There’s no way I could make a 7 hour drive and I wouldn’t be able to even walk to take photographs once we got there. Plus Mai was still pretty sick from her cold. So, $800 down the drain for the three nights we should have been there.

But surprisingly, I’m OK with that.

I’ve gotten better over the years with disappointment. It makes no sense to get angry or overly sad about things beyond my control. I’m always trying to keep my eyes off of the rearview mirror while driving down the road of life.

The windshield is the best place to focus. There are new opportunities coming at me daily. I choose to focus on that, so I don’t miss them.

Thank you for giving this one a listen today. I appreciate you lending me your ears. Your support of this thing I do daily to fight fascism is appreciated. I hope I give back to you what you put into supporting my writing and podcasting.

Much love, from flat on my back. &:^)

If you enjoy my political writing, please consider a monthly tip. It’s less than $5 to be a paid supporter, and I’d be honored to have you join our Mouthy Militia. Thank you so much

I might be moody like Mooch, but I’m always going to keep fighting the good fight. Today hasn’t been easy, but we always keep at it.
