And then it was almost like somebody imported a shitload of unpunished, unrepentant, nazis into the US after WW2…. Hey, hang on a second……

That smarmy bigot bitch is going to piss me off all day. It’s okay because right now I seem to be running on alcohol, cigarettes, and outrage.

Absofuckinglutely. It’s baked into the entire history of this nation, starting with the colonists. (Gee, I wonder what colonizing means?) People are so fucking willfully ignorant and entitled. I truly worry we’re running a failed experiment here.

Thanks for the mention! It was so nice to see you in the chat for that live. I know Zuri from her work over on Medium, she's wonderful!

It’s hurtful, but especially Black people have been hardened since 1619. “People” like “Playground Patty” are easy to deal with. We know where they stand. Just be happy she finally got her 15 minutes of fame (hey, even racists have dreams and aspirations). The fact is that “people” like this exist. But the problem is that serious racists, those with real power, are in charge, using institutional racism. “Playground Patty” is a symptom of that disease. She’s a fucking distraction...a joke. Always be mad at the disease of institutional racism.

This is excellent - as always your writing is cathartic. You say things exactly as they are - we have a racism problem. The powers that be know how to resolve it, but they don’t want to. If they keep us distracted by division, they can continue to consolidate their power.

I’m starting to think that letting the South reenter the US right after the Civil War was a huge mistake. We probably should have make them wait several hundred years, and then apply. And I live in the South, albeit a progressive area.

"Shitiots" is a wonderfully appropriate descriptor for fuckwad MAGAts. I will endeavor to spread it far and wide on the intertubes.

Actually, it was KoKo the Gorilla,

Koko the gorilla's last recorded words were delivered in sign language, expressing her feelings about humans and nature. She signed, "Koko is love. Nature is love. Both love humans. But Humans stupid". She also reportedly signed, "Help Earth. Hurry!". Lucy was the chimp raised like a human.

Yes, racism is drowning this country. I still believe that Obama’s election had to mean something. That we could get better. TFG has duck taped the pendulum to the far right but somehow we will bring it back. As much hate as there is I see many examples of inclusion and hope. While LGBTQ specific, this article does well in grounding where we are and how to make a difference: https://open.substack.com/pub/goodqueernews/p/100-days-of-good-queer-news?r=4o8dwj&utm_medium=ios

No comment... kinda: Lucy the gorilla learned to communicate with sign language. She spoke and carried on relevant conversations, expressing compassion, heart felt connections and even grieved the loss of her kitten. Robin Williams, the great actor and humanitarian reached out to her because he was a human! These women are lacking elements of empathy much needed. May the Grace of God be with them and their children. William Lane Craig, has a wonderful discussion: The Absurdity of Life Without God. They are struggling to find God( foolishly they think trump is) and they are a lost group, wondering in the wilderness, without morals, (right and wrong) and --minus understanding of purpose, and a lack of values, they will speak and act as they do.

I dunno, I don't believe in a god, Heaven, or Hell and I don't struggle with feeling empty, void, and certainly not racist.

It has always infuriated me when a white acquaintance would assume I was racist because I am white. It has always been important to me to call out that crap and it feels even more important now.
