I love those song lyrics, from one of my favorite bands, Guns N’ Roses, from their song “November Rain.” I understand them. As a writer who puts 12-15 hours into his writing and podcasts every single day, while living under the same roof as 4 other young and older adults, I get it.
I need solitude, much of the time. Mooch is the only one in the room with me for most of my workday.
I love my family. I greatly enjoy the time we spend together. But I couldn’t do what I do daily if people were constantly around making noise. Weekends when they’re off work and school aren’t the easiest to deal with. But I power through it, and it’s balanced out because our home is quiet most of the weekdays.
I was thinking about this today and how it relates to people around the world. There is so much suffering going on because of the Trump regime. War is a motherfucker. And I so feel for these families that have no peace, quiet, and the feeling of safety as we Americans do.
